Guerrero did a transcendent first set that mesmerized both the live and Ustream audience, many who were NOT bassists! I talked him out of a CD...wonderful stuff. Listen to and buy his music here.

Cincinnati Bass Blast: TONIGHT!
More love for the Cincinnati Bass Blast from the Journal Newspapers. You comin'?
We've got a pile of swag to give away: strings, power winder, T-shirts, ball cap, Fodera cables and a Pigtronix Disnortion pedal.
Additionally, we've obtained a lovely video greeting from a certain bass legend who is currently touring with two other legends in Europe...Hmmm, who could it be? And the inimitable Daniel Johnson Jr. is going to host a Ustream of the event, which also will be recorded. Info on that coming soon.
What more could you want? Maybe a T-shirt? We didn't print any to sell at the event due to cost restrictions but you can get yours here (in the right size even) for about $20 shipped.
PS (Nearly forgot, again.) We've set hashtag for the event: Please use #cincybass

Cincy Bass Blast T-Shirt Looks Good!
Hey, just got my T-shirt from The Cincy Bass Blast cafe press gift shop, it looks really good! With economy shipping it cost about 20 bucks. Small price to pay to immortalize this momentous occasion.
We will have just one (and a ball cap) to show people, and will give them away at the end of the show. We figured it was better to let people go online and order whatever size they wanted after the fact rather than buying 127 XLs and having 94 left over. (Example: I only wear men's small T's myself. Picky picky, I know.)
Regardless of whether or not you buy a shirt (we only make like $1 profit off each one) we hope you can attend the event. July 15 is coming up fast! Look forward to seeing you there.

Big Give | Pigtronix Disnortion Pedal
You know you want to come to the Cincinnati Bass Blast, if only to get a chance at winning a Pigtronix Disnortion pedal.
From the website: The unique magic of the Pigtronix OFO is Fuzz and Overdrive wired in Parallel, allowing you to pile on the gain without sacrificing clarity, dynamic response, punch or low end.
The Pigtronix OFO Disnortion features three elements: a touch sensitive Overdrive, a Fuzz with 6 different filters, and a frequency doubler named Octava. Each effect is an original design and can each be used independently or in combinations to forge a tremendous range of musically responsive distortion sounds.
The Octava is wired in series before the Overdrive and Fuzz, allowing the pedal to produce a unique type of gated, gnarly grind that is absolutely devastating.

Cincinnati Bass Blast: New Giveaways
Okie dokie, I just got word that Pigtronix is going to provide us with the very same pedal Doug Johns uses as a giveaway! Add to that some Fodera cables and a couple of T-shirts from the Lakland Owner's Group; some strings from Lakland, and a Cincinnati Bass Blast T-Shirt and cap.
Oh, in case you're wondering, the Cincinnati Bass Blass Gift Shop cafepress site is whack, for some reason, in some cases, it's showing $22 for the shirt and $17 for the cap and it's supposed to be just $16.50 for each. Still a little on the expensive side with shipping, I know, but we're trying to keep the outlays low for this first one. If it goes well, we'll put some money in the budget for the next one and have a bunch printed locally.
Please drag everyone you possible can to this event as it will determine whether or we're able to do another one! Our goal is to see what the interest is and collect contact information and to break even. That's why there is admission; we have to cover the players transportation costs down here along with making sure they are well fed!
Looking forward to meeting all of you. Cheers!
